Dùdan

Dùdan is a new one-off newspaper by Caitlin Ferguson, produced as part of a commission with ATLAS Arts. 

Dùdan is the result of a 2025 ATLAS Arts open call, inviting an artist to delve into histories of publication making, and the continuing culture of self-publishing in Skye and Lochalsh. Caitlin was selected, and began exploring various local publications, including school magazines, and the archives of the Clarion of Skye, whose headlines offer a glimpse into how Skye once saw itself - the stories it chose to tell, the hopes it held, and the language it used to express itself.
